Tell us a little bit about your business!

I am a CPA working with small business owners in Union Square, helping them navigate financial and tax planning, optimize cash flow, and build accounting systems that support smarter decision-making.

I work best with business owners who are looking for ways to improve and grow, refine their operations, and position themselves for lasting success. I do my best to make the financial side of business clear, more manageable, and even enjoyable!

What inspired you to start a business? How did this feeling grow once you actually started your business?

I’ve had a hustler’s mentality since I was a kid in my first job delivering newspapers in my neighborhood. Over the years, I found that I thrived most when working with independent businesses—especially with businesses whose owners are determined to carve out their own success on their own terms, with grit and determination. Consulting on the side while working in the corporate world made me realize that I wanted to dedicate myself fully to helping small business owners turn their ideas into reality. So last year I made the leap to consulting full time!

Leaving the corporate world confirmed that I was exactly where I needed to be. I love working with people who take action, make decisions, and build something meaningful. Beyond financial expertise, I like finding practical solutions and keeping things moving, helping business owners not just dream, but actually get things done.

What aspect of your business makes you most proud to be a business leader in our community?

Union Square is a place full of energy, independence, and creativity—qualities that resonate deeply with me as a business owner. I’ve always been drawn to the entrepreneurial mindset, and I love working with small businesses that aren’t just focused on making money, but on building something meaningful.

Having lived and worked in different environments, I’ve learned the value of strength through diversity, and that perspective shapes how I connect with and support my clients. Because of my own background and approach, I meet business owners where they are, helping them grow and improve in a way that fits their unique vision. Being part of a community like Union Square, where independent businesses thrive and people take pride in doing things their own way, makes my work even more fulfilling.

How do you #LoveUnionSquare?

Union Square feels both familiar and full of possibilities—a place where I can go about my day comfortably but still discover something new all the time. Most of my time here is spent walking or biking, which makes me feel more connected to the neighborhood and the people in it. Every week, I seem to meet someone new, whether at Nunziato dog park or while running errands, and that constant sense of connection makes the Square feel like home. It’s eclectic, friendly, a little bohemian, and full of hidden treasures—and I love knowing there’s always something left to explore.

If you were to plan the perfect outing in Union Square, where would you go and what would you do?

My ideal outing in Union Square would be all about good food, great conversation, and discovering something new.

I’d start with “tacos de adobada” at El Potro with friends or family, enjoying the laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. From there, we’d take a walk through the neighborhood—maybe stopping by Bow Market for a drink and a round of pinball. Along the way, we’d soak in the energy of the Square, and if there’s a historical spot to visit, I’d want to check that out too.

What would make the outing even better? Running into an old friend who isn’t even from the area, but who happened to be visiting because Union Square has earned its reputation as one of the coolest places to experience.

Do you have any "behind the scenes" or fun facts that a customer might not know already?

Most people probably wouldn’t guess that I spent 10 years living abroad—five years in Mexico City and another five in Curitiba, Brazil. Because of that, I speak both Spanish and Portuguese fluently, and I still have close friends in both places.

What I loved most wasn’t just the change in scenery, but the deep sense of culture—how people take time to connect, how traditions shape daily life, and how even small rituals, like pausing for a quick café in Brazil, make business and relationships more personal. Those experiences shaped how I see the world, but mostly, they just make for some great stories.

Is there anything else you think a Square customer would like to know?

I’m deeply tied to Somerville—both of my kids have attended Somerville High School, and my fiancé has many family members here as well. I spend a lot of time right around Union Square, whether I’m walking, biking, or hanging out at Nunziato Park with our dog, Cheeto.

I’m a big fan of the Union Square Farmers Market and will be there this season, either as a customer or a merchant. I’m also looking forward to experiencing the Fluff Festival for the first time this year—it’s the 20th annual one, so it seems like the perfect time to jump in! And if you ever find yourself in Union Square, there’s a good chance you’ll run into me enjoying one of the excellent local businesses here!
