Say Hello to Lunch City Studio
Published December 2021
Our team grabbed a quick moment with Courtney Drake, the owner and solopreneur of Lunch City Studio. Although Courtney’s business has been around since 2017, she recently opened a brick-and-mortar location in the Square at 265 Washington St.
Meet Courtney, get to know Lunch City Studio, and don’t forget to drop by and say hello as you #KeepSmallStrong during this year’s Holiday Stroll.
Brief description of Lunch City Studio?
Our art studio and gift shop features art by me and plastic-free goods from women, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC-owned businesses. You’ll find art prints, greeting cards, mugs, tea, plants, chocolate, candles, notebooks, soap, and other treats.
What is your favorite thing about running your business?
I have a lot of different interests, so being a solopreneur lets me exercise all those muscles.
Share a "behind the scenes" fact about what it's like to run Lunch City Studio.
My business is named after my dog, Lunchbox. A lot of my inspiration comes from our walks together around the city. I'm looking at buildings while she is looking for sticks.
Is there anything we didn't ask about that you think our readers would wanna hear?
