Walk Audit of Union Square

  • Union Square MBTA Station 50 Prospect Street Somerville, MA, 02143 United States (map)

Join the Pedestrian and Transit Advisory Committee and fellow community members for a walk audit of Union Square. A walk audit is a community assessment of how safe, accessible, comfortable, and inviting it is to walk in a defined area. Since Union Square is one of the busiest pedestrian areas citywide and home to several high-crash roads, the Pedestrian and Transit Advisory Committee wants to identify opportunities to make this beloved square safer for people walking in the near-term.

Groups will meet in the plaza in front of the Union Square MBTA Station, in front of Life Alive. There will be several groups leaving from the same location at slightly staggered times, so don’t worry if you can’t arrive right at 6 p.m.
