Man On Land, a trio made up of busy Boston jazz scene fixtures bassist Greg LoughMAN, drummer Austin McMahON and pianist Brian FriedLAND, will celebrate the release of their eponymous debut CD. The band's moniker is derived from each of the individual members' names, signalling that this group is a true collective, each member bringing compositions and arrangements to their repertoire. It's going to be a great night of melodically, harmonically and rhythmically engaging music. Even better: the evening will open with a short set of duos from bari sax player Kathy Olson and trombonist Randy Pingrey.
