Wacky for Sake

Nibble!, the food blog from the Somerville Arts Council. has an interview this week with Sake expert Richard Auffrey.  Nibble met him over at Reliable Market, where he raved that the store has the best selection of the beverage in the Boston area.

Auffrey’s hosting a special event at Ronnarong on March 8, 2011 with a Thai dinner and sake tasting.

In case you can’t make the gathering, over at Nibble get a primer on the bottles available at Reliable so you can find the one you’d like to try this weekend.

You can reserve your seating for a special Sake and Thai Dinner which is just $25 plus tax and gratuity by calling 617.290.5858or email hpatt@ronnarongtapas.com.

Ronnarong Saksua is the chef and owner of Ronnarong Thai Tapas.  Cooking up a storm for the last 14 years, the restaurant was formerly known as Great Thai Chef before Ron’s place underwent a remodel and a took on a new concept with Thai inspired cocktails and an evening menu featuring small plates of classic and less well known traditional dishes.

The Somerville Journal interviewed Ron on his love of lemongrass and cooking.
