It’s nearly impossible to keep up with all the hot new businesses in Union Square. Case in point, we only just discovered Whim, a floral and event design company based on Joy Street.
For this Thanksgiving holiday they’re selling Thanksgiving centerpieces to benefit the Somerville Homeless Coalition. They’ve got two options. There’s a rustic harvest farm box filled with artichokes, ranunculus, pomegranates, peonies, roses and herbs and customized with the farm name of your choice (like if you’ve giving this as a hostess gift you might want to say, “Dear Mother Farm” or “Graney Acres.” Looking for something simplier, they’ll provide you with a bountiful bunch of cut flowers to display in your own vases throughout your home.
20% of the sales of the Thanksgiving flowers will help our neighbors who don’t have a home this holiday.
You can attend Whim’s “Pick-Up” Party, where they’ll have refreshments for their guests and will receive donated canned goods to add to the gift for the Homeless Coalition. Or for a $15 charge they’ll deliver your arrangement within 15 miles of Somerville.
