What the Fluff? A Tribute to Union Square Invention
COOKING CONTEST
2009 |
Does Marshmallow Fluff inspire you to
create new culinary works of art? Have you ever used Fluff as a secret
ingredient? Is there a fabulous recipe featuring Fluff that’s been
passed down in your family for generations? If you’ve answered “yes” to
any of these questions, they you should submit your creation to the 2008
What the Fluff? Cooking Contest!
Here’s how it works: Bring a batch of
your best original Fluff recipe or your rendition of a classic Fluff
treat to the festival. Our panel of celebrity judges will decide which
recipes out-Fluff the competition. They’ll pick winners from various
categories, who will be awarded a bevy of fabulous prizes. Best of all,
the Grand Prize winner will receive an exclusive, private tour of the Durkee-Mower Marshmallow Fluff factory!
To Enter the Cooking
Contest:
Arrive at the 2009 What the Fluff? Festival between
3:30 and 4:00 with the following: · A batch (at least six samples) of your Fluffy treat
· Written copy of the recipe · Completed entry form. You can
download an entry form here or you can pick up a copy at the
judge’s table once you arrive at the festival
The winners will be announced about 6:30 from the main stage.
Helpful Hints for Aspiring Champions:
Marshmallow Fluff is great in frozen desserts but remember that your
creation will be sitting outdoors on the judges table for up to two
hours. Fluffy stuff that needs to be kept very cold might not hold up!
After the judges complete their judging we'll be selling the submissions
so please take this into account when selecting your serving dishes. Also, since Fluff-induced
shenanigans will be happening all around the Square, you probably don't
want to risk your finest china.
Any Fluff-based treat will do here:
bring your best rendition of a classic Fluff recipe (something from the
Yummy Book, perhaps) or a crazy, new-fangled concoction that you've
dreamed up yourself .
